One in Three
On November 19th, the Women’s Sexual Assault Centre presents the second annual 1 in 3 campaign. 1 in 3 represents the fact that 1 in 3 women has experienced some form of sexualized violence that can be legally defined as Sexual Assault. (The Violence Against Women Survey Statistics Canada 1993).
The day is for raising awareness, showing your support and getting the commmunity talking about sexualized violence. Local business around Victoria are showing their support by displaying posters, handing out pins and information, providing avenues for donations, and some are even giving away something to every third customer!
So, on November 19th, visit one of the following businesses and grab a pin or make a donation and show your support in creating a future without sexualized violence.
