Ashley Dryburgh
(she/her)
Executive Director
A queer anti-racist feminist, Ashley is part of three generations born and raised on lək̓ʷəŋən territories. She has a proven track record of navigating complex transformational change at community and organizational levels, with a focus on anti-oppression. She began her career in the not-for-profit sector 20 years ago supporting newcomer women looking for Canadian work experience. Since then, she has held senior leadership positions with the BC Public Service, the Royal BC Museum, and several not-for-profits in Alberta. Ashley holds a BA (Hons) in Women’s Studies from the University of Victoria, an MA from McMaster University, and is a proud PhD drop-out from the University of Alberta. Her leadership style blends her personal values of accountability, curiosity, and joy with a trauma-informed approach and commitment to operational excellence. She is honoured to help uplift VSAC’s 40+ year legacy of supporting survivors of sexualized violence, their families, and communities through healing, prevention, and education.
